The elegant and historic township of Bathurst is just twenty kilometres from Clonturkle. Home of the Mt Panorama race course, Bathurst is also a town of beautiful Victorian architecture and parks. Bathurst is surrounded by beautiful and historic villages such as Hill End, Sofala, Milthorpe, Carcoar, Tarana and others. The picturesque rural setting of the township of Orange is filled with orchards and vineyards. The leafy streets of Orange are filled with elegant Edwardian houses and buildings. The sub-alpine pinnacle of the extinct volcano, Mt Canobolas, which can be seen from Clonturkle, gives the most spectacular views in the tablelands.
